Drain & Sewer

Hydro Jetting in Memphis, TN

Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour grease, scale, sludge and roots off the inside of drain and sewer pipes. It cleans the full diameter of the pipe, so lines that clog again and again stay clear far longer than with a cable alone.

Common problems

Sound familiar?

Clogs that keep coming back

If a drain was cabled and backed up again weeks later, the pipe walls are still coated with buildup that catches new debris.

Grease-heavy kitchen lines

Kitchen lines coat with grease and soap that harden over time. A cable punches a hole through it; jetting removes it.

Roots in the sewer line

Roots from Memphis oaks and other mature trees grow into joints of older clay and cast iron sewer lines and catch everything that flows past.

What’s included

Everything it takes to get results

Camera check first

We inspect the line to confirm it's sound enough for jetting and find where the buildup is.

High-pressure cleaning

We run the jetter nozzle through the line to scour the walls and flush debris to the city main.

Root cutting

Root intrusions are cut and flushed out, with the right nozzle for the pipe material.

Final inspection

We run the camera again or flow-test the line to confirm it's clean.

Questions

What people ask first

What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting is drain cleaning with a high-pressure water hose and a nozzle that sprays forward and backward. It cuts through blockages and scrubs buildup off the pipe walls, then flushes the debris out of the line.
Is hydro jetting safe for older pipes?
Usually, when it's done right. We inspect the line with a camera first, because a pipe that is cracked, collapsed or badly deteriorated should be repaired rather than jetted. We set the pressure and nozzle for your pipe material.
Hydro jetting or snaking: which do I need?
A snake or cable is the right tool for a single clog in a fixture drain. Jetting is better for main lines with grease, scale or roots, and for lines that keep clogging after being cabled.
How often should a sewer line be jetted?
Most homes never need routine jetting. Homes with roots in an older sewer line, or businesses with heavy grease, may benefit from scheduled cleaning. We'll recommend an interval based on what the camera shows.
