Common problems

Sound familiar?

Drips and small leaks

A faucet that drips or a supply line that weeps under a sink wastes water and slowly ruins cabinets and subfloors.

Low or uneven water pressure

Weak pressure at one fixture usually points to a clogged aerator or cartridge. Weak pressure everywhere can mean a failing pressure regulator, a valve problem or corroded galvanized pipe.

Valves that won't shut off

Old stop valves under sinks and toilets seize or leak when you finally need them. That turns a small repair into a big one.

What’s included

Everything it takes to get results

Faucet and fixture repair

Cartridges, washers, stems and seals replaced, or a new faucet installed when repair isn't worth it.

Valve replacement

Shutoff valves, stop valves and main valves replaced so you can actually control the water.

Supply line and connection repair

Braided supply lines, compression fittings and connections at sinks, toilets and appliances.

Pressure diagnosis

We test pressure at the fixture and at the main to find whether the problem is local or whole-house.

Questions

What people ask first

Is it worth repairing an old faucet or should I replace it?
If parts are available and the body isn't corroded, a new cartridge or seals usually fixes it. If the faucet is old, hard to find parts for or leaking from the body, replacement is often the better value. We'll give you both prices so you can decide.
Why is my water pressure low all of a sudden?
Sudden low pressure at one fixture is usually debris in the aerator or cartridge. Sudden low pressure throughout the house can be a failing pressure-reducing valve, a partly closed main valve or a leak in the service line. We test to find which one it is.
Can I fix a leaking shutoff valve myself?
Sometimes tightening the packing nut stops a small leak at the stem. If the valve is corroded or won't close fully, it should be replaced, and that requires shutting off the main water. If you're not comfortable with that, call us.
Do you work in Germantown, Collierville and Southaven?
Yes. Flowmasters serves Memphis and the Mid-South, including Shelby, Tipton and Fayette counties in Tennessee and DeSoto County in Mississippi.
