Toilet Repair in Memphis, TN

Flowmasters fixes toilets that run, leak, clog or rock on the floor, and replaces them when repair isn't worth it. Most toilet problems come down to a few worn parts, and we fix them the same visit when we can.

Common problems

Sound familiar?

It keeps running

A toilet that refills on its own or never stops running has a worn flapper or fill valve. It can waste hundreds of gallons a day.

Water around the base

Water on the floor around the toilet usually means a failed wax ring or a cracked bowl, and it can rot the subfloor.

Weak flush or frequent clogs

A slow, weak flush or repeated clogs can come from mineral-blocked rim jets, a bad flush valve or a partial blockage further down the drain.

Questions

What people ask first

Why does my toilet keep running?
Most often the flapper isn't sealing, so water leaks from the tank into the bowl and the fill valve keeps refilling it. A fill valve set too high or a worn fill valve can also cause it. Both are quick, inexpensive repairs.
Why is water leaking around the base of my toilet?
The wax ring that seals the toilet to the drain has likely failed, often because the toilet rocks. It can also be a loose supply connection or a crack in the bowl. A leaking base should be fixed soon, because the water soaks into the subfloor.
Should I repair or replace my toilet?
Repair it if the china is sound and the parts are standard. Replace it if the bowl or tank is cracked, it clogs constantly, or it's an older high-water-use model. We'll price both so you can choose.
When is a toilet clog a sign of a bigger problem?
If more than one fixture backs up, or the tub gurgles when you flush, the blockage is likely in the main drain or sewer line. That needs drain cleaning, not just a plunger.
